Zippo Outdoor Names Oxford One of America’s Best Tailgating Cities
The food and friendliness of Grove tailgating makes Oxford one of the top cities for tailgating.
Outdoor supply and manufacturing company Zippo Outdoor has named Oxford to its list of American’s best tailgating cities. The company calls Oxford “a tailgater’s dream” and an “absolute must” for every college football fan’s bucket list.
“Southern cooking, BBQ, passionate fans, ruthless rivalries, and some of the best game day traditions of anywhere in the country cements this small city as one of the best tailgating cultures in the country,” stated the article.
Oxford’s unique tailgating experience earned it a spot on Zippo Outdoor’s list of America’s best tailgating cities.
The list, “America’s Best Tailgating Cities: South” includes Houston, Texas; Jacksonville, Fla.; Miami and New Orleans. Zippo Outdoor states that the cities were selected based on the following criteria: most tailgating opportunities, the most diehard fans, the largest tailgating events, and the most unique ways to tailgate.
