The Rotary Club of Oxford had a special presentation mixed in with their typical meeting Tuesday to honor five local residents for their contributions to the Lafayette County community.
Jo Ann Allen, Lynn Wells, John E. Kohne, Felix Edwin Perry and Jason Bailey were recognized as Paul Harris Fellows for their work in the community exhibit the qualities upon which Rotary International was founded. The citizens were nominated by members of the Rotary Club of Oxford for their contributions to the community, their use of their professional skills to enrich our community and their willingness to put service above self.
Each recipient was presented with a certificate and pin to recognize their contribution to our community, and a donation of $1,000 was made by the nominators in their honor to the Rotary International Foundation.
