Ole Miss to Hold Three Summer Baseball Camps June, July
The end of school marks the beginning of summer, which means Ole Miss Summer Baseball Camps are back for three different sessions in 2015. The Ole Miss baseball team will host a four-day camp in June, while two four-day overnight camps will take place in July.
The Ole Miss Summer Baseball Camps are geared towards providing coaching, competition and facilities necessary for rapid improvement through fundamental drills and game situations. Through lectures, information is provided on positive thinking, goal setting and other skills designed to help campers fulfill their potential on and off the baseball field. Ole Miss camps offer a great opportunity to learn how to play the game the right way and have a lot of fun doing so.
Each camp has the option for half day and full day campers. Full day campers will be signed up for the entire day’s activities that runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided for full day campers. Campers selecting the half day option will attend the morning session only, which will be 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day. Participants should bring their normal baseball gear to camp.
The first camp of the summer, available to grades 1 through 8, is scheduled for June 22-25. The camp will cover every aspect of baseball from hitting to pitching and throwing, as well as defense.
Ole Miss baseball will offer two camps in July, scheduled for July 13-16 and July 27-30, where campers will have the option to stay overnight. A half week option is also available for these camps. Both sessions are for anyone in grades 1 through 12. Those choosing the overnight option will stay on campus, be fully supervised and provided with three meals a day. Campers must be at least 10 years old to stay overnight.
