By making the 10-person All-District squad, Redding is now eligible to be voted for Capital One Academic All-America honors.

Redding, an Oxford native, graduated this month with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a perfect 4.0 grade point average in his Ole Miss career. He was one of a few recipients of the Taylor Medal, which is the highest academic honor given to a University of Mississippi student. He has twice been named to the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

On the track, Redding has been a four-year performer in the 400-meter hurdles for the Red and Blue. He clocked a season best of 56.08 at the LSU Invitational this year. His career-best time of 55.27 was run at last year’s Red Wolves Open in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Redding was a co-winner of the Men’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year award at the 2015 Rebels’ Choice Awards.
