Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, May 13
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: five disturbances, four alarms, three civil matters, three careless driving, two suspicious activities, an ambulance assist, a fire assist, a welfare concern, a petit larceny, a simple assault and a code enforcement violation.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 22 tickets and made six arrests on the following charges: (2) possession of drug paraphernalia; no car insurance and a DUI to first degree; a driving wrong way on one way street with DUI to second degree; a vehicle noise violation; and a possession of alcohol by minor.
University police responded to the following incidents: four vehicle stops, a moving violation per improper or no tag on Chucky Mullins Drive, and a fraud at Weir Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a small mulch fire at 1:22 p.m. in Tequila’s parking lot and a brush and woods fire at 6:35 p.m. behind 2118 Delores Drive.
