Real Estate Opportunities: Grand Oaks on the Rise as Oxford’s Best Kept Secret
Few know about the rapid expansion going on in one of Oxford’s most prestigious neighborhoods.
Grand Oaks has been a beautiful neighborhood since the 1990s, but the changes that have taken place lately have carried this sought after neighborhood to a new level of prestige. The neighborhood is nestled among a beautiful 18 hole golf course, which was extensively redesigned by Jim Fazio in 2007. The golf course boasts rolling hills, towering oaks, glistening lakes, and sprawling scenery at every turn.
Almost two years ago, the Country Club of Oxford, under new local ownership, opened a long-awaited clubhouse boasting a restaurant, swimming pool, tennis courts, and golf pro shop. A snapshot day at the clubhouse shows members eating the highly acclaimed food from Chef Jonathan Oliver as children swim and play tennis outside. The golf is unparalleled in experience and has been acclaimed as one of the most challenging courses in the state. The country club truly provides an all-around family experience.
Long-time member Eli Manning described it best when he said, “… I have good buddies here and I play golf, and my wife and kids use the pool and play tennis and grew up being around [the club]. I think it is a great environment…it is exciting that it is up and running and doing well.”
To top it all off, construction of a brand new 12,000 square foot clubhouse will be underway soon. The new clubhouse will house larger dining facilities, bar, locker rooms, golf pro shop, and banquet space. The clubhouse will have expansive terraces with views of a new near 40-acre lake, the 1st and 18th holes, practice range, and practice green. For all of these reasons, the real estate in Grand Oaks is in high demand.
Home sites are available in the new section near the clubhouse named “The Grove at Grand Oaks.” Lots sell out fast and there is a waitlist for more. Currently, 5 lots are available in Phases I-III. More lots are coming soon and eventually condos will be in the works. This booming area will be growing for years to come.
Not only are lot sales at an all-time high in the area, the existing homes in Grand Oaks are in high demand with property values rising steadily with the anticipation of the new clubhouse and continued growth of the country club. One home in particular that should be highlighted is 1081 Augusta Drive. The home has just been reduced to $614,900.
This home sits directly across the street from the 4th hole of the golf course. This home features a wonderful open floor plan with beautiful hardwood floors, an iron staircase, and so much more. There is a spacious updated kitchen with all stainless appliances, gas range and granite. There is a large downstairs master, 3 upstairs bedrooms, and 2 upstairs bonus rooms. Also, there is office/living room and dining room downstairs. The sight lines & openness make for a great flow. The home is beautifully landscaped & has landscape lighting and irrigation. There is great storage space with 2 attics (1 walk-in).This is a must see for anyone moving to the Oxford area!

This is such great information. I cannot wait to look at some of these homes and lots. Oxford has needed a true country club neighborhood for a long time.
