David Ewing – Burglary
On Thursday, May 7, the Oxford police department arrested David Ewing, 18 of Vardaman, for burglary. On April 26, 2015 a burglary occurred at Solo Apartments on University Avenue. The crime was caught on video and Ewing was identified as the man who entered the residence. Ewing was given a bond of $2,500.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 10 suspicious activities, four lost properties, four disturbances, three malicious mischief, three alarms, two welfare concerns, a noise violation, an animal complaint, a petit larceny, and an ambulance assist.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 17 traffic citations and made three arrests on the following charges: (2) shoplifting, and a public intoxication.
University police responded to the following incidents: two trespassing at J.D. William Library, a vehicle stop on University Place, a suspicious vehicle at Johnson Commons, a suspicious vehicle at Rowan Oak, and a service call for information at Martin Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a lobby smoke detector malfunction at 10:02 p.m. at Rowan Oak.
