Watch Out Buchanan: Chad Kelly Trains with George Whitfield

Ryan Buchanan may be in the lead for the starting quarterback this coming football season, but Chad Kelly is training with George Whitfield Jr. right now.
Kelly finished his finals, but that didn’t mean he’s taking a break from schooling. He’s working with George Whitfield, Jr. this summer at Whitfield Athletix in California to hone his quarterback skills.
Whitfield uploaded this picture of Chad Kelly running out of the ocean with Kyle Kempt who recently left Oregon State Beavers and several other athletes training under the “Quarterback Guru.”
Whitfield is renowned for his tutoring, evidenced by his former students from Ben Roethlisberger to Jameis Winston. He might be remembered by some as that one person chasing Winston and Johnny Manziel with a broomstick on their Pro-Days. He explains his unconventional methods to SBNation.com.
This isn’t Chad Kelly’s first time training with Whitfield’s guidance. Here is a tweet from 2013 back when he was with Clemson Tigers where he spent his spring break in California training.

Buchanan doesn’t need to watch out, he trained with George Whitfield last summer and has done other camps with QB gurus too. He’s the guy.
