With only a few hours until the 2015 NFL Draft gets underway in the windy city of Chicago, let’s quickly look at quarterback Bo Wallace and the opportunity for him to make a name for himself in the league.

During Wallace’s time in Oxford, he threw for a total of 9,534 yards and 62 touchdowns to 41 interceptions in his three-year career.

One of the biggest wins in his career was over top-ranked Alabama where he threw for 251 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Wallace brought some great traits to the QB position as he displayed some athleticism to run read options and pick up yards with his legs. Wallace is a fearless ballcarrier who stands tough in the pocket, doesn’t panic and won’t give up on plays with a gutsy demeanor. He improved his patience and discipline under coach Hugh Freeze.

Throughout his 39 career starts, Wallace finished second in the university’s record books in several passing categories, only behind Ole Miss great Eli Manning. CBSSports.com said he is the best prospect at quarterback since Manning being very productive in Ole Miss’s spread shotgun attack style.

Wallace faced injuries to his throwing shoulder while on campus but did a nice job at putting the ball where his weapons could create after the catch. He also changed arm angles well when needed. He is not afraid to test downfield throws with a short memory after mistakes with a high threshold for pain, toughing his way through injuries.

At the end of the 2014 season, Wallace averaged 60.1 percent on passing completions for 3,194 thrown yards and 22 touchdowns to 14 interceptions.

NFLDraftScout.com has him listed as the 28th quarterback on the depth chart entering the Draft.
