Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, April 29
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: seven suspicious activities, three alarms, two welfare concerns, two disturbances, two noise violations, a fire department assist, an 911 hang up call, a petit larceny, a motorist assist, a trespassing, a credit card fraud, a recovered property and an auto-burglary at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Oxford police investigated 11 wrecks, issued 38 traffic citations and made four arrests on the following charges: a possession of drug paraphernalia; a speeding with DUI; one headlight and consumption of alcohol on city streets; and no seatbelt with minor in possession of alcohol.
University police responded to the following incidents: five vehicle stops, a service call for an ambulance at Residential College, a traffic assist on Chucky Mullins Drive, a vehicle accident on the South lot, and a grand larceny on Student Union Drive.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents: a smoke detector malfunction at North Ridge apartments; a smoke detector activation from cooking at Highland Place; and a car accident to which an ambulance was sent on Highway 7.
