After a picturesque Double Decker weekend for the festival’s 20th anniversary, no one could argue the amazing beauty of Oxford.
The Culture Trip compiled the 10 most beautiful towns in Mississippi, and Oxford was listed among the elite. The unranked list praises the home of the state’s flagship university for its culture, small town charm and eclectic dining scene that William Faulkner used as the basis for numerous novels.
Built around the growing University of Mississippi founded in 1848, Oxford’s beauty radiates from the immaculate campus, around the Square and throughout the town with natural elegance, historic homes and artistic attractions.
Other beautiful spots around the state include Cleveland, Bay St. Louis, New Albany, Corinth, Ocean Springs, Vicksburg, Natchez, Port Gibson and Ridgeland, and each boasts its own unique allure.
