The Grove was the place to be Sunday as Thomas Rhett, Iron & Wine and Love & Theft hit the stage for a 4:30 p.m. show that showcased the distinctive talents of all three artists. The weather was just right for a concert that had the crowd revved up as Love & Theft opened the show, followed by the Indie folk sounds of Iron & Wine.

But it was clear who the crowd waited on as around 7:00 p.m., the lights went on and Thomas Rhett, 25-year-old son of country music singer, Rhett Akins, hit the stage. From “Get Me Some of That,” to “Make Me Wanna” and “Parking Lot Party,” Rhett played all his hits and got the crowd involved with a rocking rendition of Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places.”
But the highlight of the night was when the Egg Bowl trophy was brought on stage and Rhett held it high above his head and then led the crowd in a boisterous “Hotty Toddy.”
