Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, April 22
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four disturbances, four alarms, three suspicious activities, three lost properties, two 911 hang up calls, two civil matter, two welfare concerns, a petit larceny, an animal complaint, a littering, a recovered property, a noise violation, a harassment, a motorist assist and a scam.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 59 traffic citations and made six arrests on the following charges: (2) public intoxication; (2) shoplifting; a DUI; and a driving with no headlights and a possession of drug paraphernalia.
University police responded to the following incidents: two vehicle stops, two traffic details, a disturbance in Kincannon parking lot, a report of harassment, and a service call for an ambulance at Johnson Commons.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a sprinkler system malfunction at 1100 Tyler Avenue Condos, a smoke detector activated by a forgotten egg cooking at Canterbury Crest #116, a fire alarm malfunction at The Village building 108, and a cancelled call at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
