Oxford Crime Report: Monday, April 20
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four suspicious activities, three alarms, three careless drivers, three auto-burglaries at The Connection, two house burglaries at The Retreat, two welfare concerns, two animal complaints, two malicious mischief, an ambulance assist, a fire department assist, a noise violation, a harassment, a civil matter, a trespassing, and an improper parking.
Oxford police investigated nine wrecks, issued 19 traffic citations and made one arrest on a warrant served.
University police department responded to the following incidents: two vehicle stops, a suspicious vehicle in Kincannon field lot, a response to a fire alarm with discovery of a drug possession at Northgate Apartments, a report of a larceny, a vandalism to vehicle in Fraternity Alley, and an auto-burglary in Fraternity Alley.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a smoke detector activated by cooking at Canterbury Crest Apartment 116, and a smoke detector activated by smoking at Northgate A206.
