Oxford Crime Report: Monday, April 13
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six welfare concerns, three alarms, two disturbances, two suspicious activities, a 911 hang up call, a noise complaint, a fire department assist, an animal complaint, a lost property, an improper parking, a malicious mischief, and a civil matter.
Oxford police investigated six wrecks, issued six traffic citations and made four arrests on the following charges: (2) shoplifting; a warrant served; and a speeding with a suspended driver’s license.
University police responded to the following incidents: three vehicle stops, a report of bicycle theft at the Ridges, a report of bicycle theft at Brevard Hall, a service call for an ambulance at Lamar Hall, and a report of a suspicious vehicle with discovery of a possession of drug paraphernalia (in vehicle) at Residential College.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a gas leak at C.B. Webb building 956 where it was discovered the gas was leaking from a loose nut on the meter. The firefighters stood by for Center Point Energy.
