Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, April 9
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four disturbances, four suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, three alarms, two noise violations, two malicious mischief, two auto-burglaries on Aspen Loop, an 911 hang up call, a petit larceny, a careless driving, an animal complaint, a motorist assist, a counterfeit currency, and a grand larceny.
Oxford police investigated six wrecks, issued 23 traffic citations and made six arrests on the following charges: (2) shoplifting; careless driving with no car insurance but with DUI; careless driving with DUI; a warrant served; and a driving without wearing a seat belt and without car insurance but with a DUI.
University police responded to the following incidents: three vehicle stops, a service call for an ambulance at Residential College, a vandalism at Pittman Hall, a report of stalking, and a report of harassment at Stewart Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents: a heat sensor activated by cooking in the kitchen at Pi Beta Phi house, a carbon monoxide detector malfunction at Beta Theta Pi house, and a smoke detector activated by a vaporizer at 128 Breckenridge Drive.
