Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six disturbances, four careless driving, three welfare concerns, two petit larceny, a suspicious activity, a soliciting without permit, an ambulance assist, an alarm, an uttering forgery, a grand larceny, a civil matter and a domestic violence per simple assault.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents:six wrecks, issued 47 tickets and made five arrests on the following charges: a careless driving with possession of Schedule IV drugs and a DUI to first degree; a driving without a seat belt and a public consumption of alcohol; a driving without a seat belt and a possession of alcohol by minor; a driving with one headlight and a possession of alcohol by minor; and a shoplifting with a warrant served.
University police responded to the following incidents: five vehicle stops, a vandalism to vehicle at Residential College, a vandalism to vehicle at Lamar Hall, a motor vehicle accident at University Circle, and a traffic detail on Chucky Mullins Drive.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a smoke detector activated by shower steam at Crosby Hall, a smoke detector malfunction in the game room at Phi Kappa Tau house, a duct detector malfunction at Natural Products, a report of smelling wires burning that were traced to the drinking machine in the hallway which was then unplugged in the Kinard Hall near the University police department office.
