Over 100 Teams En Route to Oxford, FNC Park April 10-12
Over 100 youth baseball and soccer team from all across the state and the southeast will travel to Oxford, April 10-12 to compete in a weekend tournaments.
The USSSA baseball tournament will begin Friday and continue through the weekend. Both boys and girls U8-U16 soccer teams will compete in the sixth annual April Ambush soccer tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
This is the sixth year in a row that the Oxford Soccer Club has hosted the April Ambush at FNC Park. Oxford Soccer Club is Oxford’s largest youth soccer club and conducts all of it’s training at FNC Park.
“It really all starts with the facility (FNC Park). Being able to have an asset like FNC Park to bring in these events is such a blessing for the community,” said Rob Boyd, executive director of the Oxford Park Commission. “The hard work my staff and the guys at FNC Park put in is evident by the number of events we are able to host.”
