Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, April 1
Oxford police responded to the following calls: five alarms, three disturbances, two noise violations, two suspicious activities, two harassments, two civil matters, two welfare concerns, a careless driver, a malicious mischief, a trespassing, a 911 hang up call, a fire department assist, a simple assault, an ambulance assist, and a motorist assist.
Oxford police investigated 12 wrecks, issued 57 traffic citations and made eight arrests on the following charges: (2) public intoxication, (2) possession of drug paraphernalia, (2) trespassing, and (2) shoplifting.
University police responded to the following incidents: two vehicle stops, a vehicle accident at Ford Center, a careless driving on Dormitory Row West, a report of harassment, a disturbance at the Union, a traffic detail at Chucky Mullins Drive, an accidental hit and run at Residential College South, and a report of auto-burglary to UPD office.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a blown transformer at South 15th Street and the fire department stood by for Oxford Electric, a resident pulled a fire alarm at State Veterans home, and a wreck with extrication on Highway 6 West.
