3 Unique Easter Ideas to Enjoy with Friends and Family
Easter is an ideal reminder that Spring has sprung. Creating colorful and vibrant eggs is a tradition most parents keep alive and many children like to indulge in. Here are three fun ideas that you can enjoy with your sorority sisters, families or children.
1. Creating colorful Easter Eggs with melted crayons. First things first, hard boil your eggs. Using a vast assortment of colorful crayons, start the coloring process with your choice of crayon and begin to draw on the egg. Think outside of the box drawing different patterns and using several different colored crayons. Because of the hot exterior of the hard boiled egg, the crayon will melt on it’s surface. Once you have finished, place the eggs in an original egg holder and set in the refrigerator for a couple of minutes. Finally, display the eggs however you want.
2. Easter Egg scavenger hunt. Think of different hiding spots that can compliment your clues. Such as, “Easter fun is a crowd pleaser. What you’re seeking could be in the freezer.” Having several clues leading up to the one ultimate egg is what makes it fun for your small children and your children that have moved on from the traditional “Easter egg hunt.” A lot of families hide money in eggs for families with older children which seems to be a huge hit.
3. Peeps on a Stick. You will need lollipop sticks, candy melts, mini marshmallows and Peeps. Using a baking sheet, line the tray with wax paper. Stick the lollipop stick as far inside of the peep as you can go without coming out of the top. Trim a third of the mini marshmallow off. Melt the chocolate and then dip the peeps in it, set on the wax paper and add the marshmallow “cottontail.” Refrigerate until the chocolate sets and then serve.
