Oxford is known around the state for its artistic atmosphere, but a gallery just a stone’s throw away in Water Valley has a show this spring for all to enjoy.
The opening of the Big Skies exhibit at Bozarts Gallery is 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in downtown Water Valley featuring new work by Mississippi artists Caren Vitell and Elizabeth Hughes Bass. Yalo Studio with the Len Jenkins: Fire over Water Show also will be open.
“Usually after the opening, folks head to the Crawdad Hole for hot crawfish and cold Yalobusha draft,” Water Valley Main Street Association director Mickey Howley said. “It’s a good time.”
Big Skies will be open through May 9. The gallery is located at 403 N. Main Street in Water Valley. For more information, call (662) 473-2484 or visit the gallery’s website.
