Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, March 11
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four house burglaries on Pleasant Drive, three alarms, three 911 hang up calls, two suspicious activities, an identity theft, harassing phone calls, a welfare concern, and a careless driver.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 36 traffic citations and made seven arrests on the following charges: (3) possession of drug paraphernalia; driving with one headlight and a DUI; a consumption of alcohol on a city street; a leaving the scene of an accident with no driver’s license but with a DUI; and an embezzlement.
University police responded to the following incidents: five vehicle stops on Intramural Field Road, two vehicle stops on Hathorn Road, a speeding on Intramural Field Road, a petit larceny of university property at the Martindale building.
Oxford Fire Department received no emergency calls.
