Ole Miss Soccer Announces Spring Schedule
The Ole Miss soccer team will play five friendly games and host an alumni game as a part of the spring season, head coach Matthew Mott announced on Monday.
Four of the five games will be on the road, with one home contest and the alumni game rounding out the competition. The spring match against LSU will be held in conjunction with the Tigers as a part of an ID camp.
“This is without question our toughest spring schedule since I’ve been here at Ole Miss,” Mott said. “Returning 10-of-11 starters we really wanted to challenge our team with two SEC teams, a quality opponent out of the Big 12 in Oklahoma and two quality opponents who are also regional rivals. We feel like it will be a great way to test ourselves and challenge ourselves in the spring as we prepare for the fall with all five teams as regular contenders for NCAA Tournament play.”
The Rebels will travel to competition against LSU (Jackson, Mississippi – March 21), Memphis (Memphis – April 6), Oklahoma (Little Rock, Arkansas – April 19) and Auburn (Auburn, Alabama – April 25). Ole Miss hosts Samford on April 16 at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium.
An alumni game will also be a part of the spring season as the Rebels host the annual event as a part of the Grove Bowl weekend on April 11.
Admission to all spring games is free and open to the public.
