Oxford police responded to the following incidents: eight noise complaints, seven alarms, six disturbances, six suspicious activities, five frauds, five welfare concerns, four ambulance assists, four improper parking, three fire department assists, three malicious mischief, two lost properties, harassing phone calls, an 911 hang up call, a motorist assist, a petit larceny, a careless driver, an animal complaint, a civil matter and an auto-burglary at Shumard Cove.

Oxford police investigated 19 wrecks, issued 101 traffic citations and made 29 arrests on the following charges: (11) public intoxications; (6) careless driving with DUI; (4) minor in possession of alcohol; a speeding with DUI; a careless driving with no car insurance but with possession of drug paraphernalia and a DUI; a malicious mischief; a simple assault; a consumption of alcohol on city streets; a possession of fake ID; a possession of drug paraphernalia; and a DUI.

University police responded to the following incidents: an intoxicated person with public profanity at the Inn at Ole Miss; a suspicious vehicle at Kappa Alpha Order house; a vehicle stop on Fraternity Row; a vehicle stop with a moving violation for careless driving on Rebel Drive; a vehicle stop on Hill Drive; a cyber-stalking at Stewart Hall; a petit larceny at the Union; a vehicle stop at Marijuana Project; a vehicle stop on Rebel Drive; a vehicle stop at Kappa Alpha commuter lot; three vehicle stops on Grove Loop; a vehicle stop at Kennon Observatory; three vehicle stops at University Place; a traffic detail on Hathorn Road; a traffic detail on Chucky Mullins Drive; a vehicle stop on Old Taylor Drive; a suspicious vehicle at Luckyday Residential College; a warrant served by University police department; a vehicle stop at Sigma Chi Fraternity; a motor vehicle accident at Stockard Hall; a vehicle stop at Student Union Drive; and a vehicle stop with moving violations for running a stop sign with possession of drug paraphernalia at University Place.

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents: an outside sprinkler activation due to the cold weather at The Connection Building 13; a fan belt burned off a car which made it seem as if it were “dripping fire” at 105 Allison Cove; a fire alarm system activated by a power outrage at Minor Hall; a fire alarm system activated by a power outrage at Chi Omega house; a fire alarm system activated by a power outrage at Alpha Omicron Pi house; a leak from a propane heater caught fire and was extinguished by fire department’s arrival at University Cleaners; a light smoke in the building due to the cooling system burning up at Super Computer; and a smoke detector activated by burned food at Fleur de Lis Apartment 1204.
