Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, February 25
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six disturbances, five alarms, three ambulance assists, two malicious mischief, two motorist assists, a suspicious activity, a welfare concern, a public intoxication, a petit larceny, and an improper parking.
Oxford police investigated 10 wrecks which all occurred during the sleet and snow fall from 10 a.m. to noon. Oxford police also issued two traffic citations and made two arrests on the following charges: a shoplifting, and a public intoxication.
University police responded to the following incidents: a possession of drugs, a fake ID and also public intoxication at Stewart Hall; a possession of alcohol at Stewart Hall; traffic directing at Chucky Mullins Drive, Chapel Lane and Hill Drive and University Avenue; a fight at Kincannon Hall; a vehicle stop at the Union; and a moving violation with a driver disregarding traffic signal at the Union.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents: a gas leak from a grill next door to 203 Emilee Lane at Sage Meadows, and a smoke alarm from a central heating unit burning which smoked up the house at 504 Maple Cove.
