Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, February 24
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three alarms, three shopliftings, two petit larcenies, two suspicious activities, a suspicious vehicle, an ambulance assist, a missing dog, a trespassing, a lost property, a civil matter, an abandoned vehicle, a malicious mischief, and an auto-burglary at 200 S.18th Street.
Oxford police investigatedfour wrecks, issued 33 traffic citations and made six arrests on the following charges: (2) domestic violence – simple assault; a careless driving with possession of schedule II drug and a DUI to first degree; a careless driving with one headlight and a DUI to first degree; a speeding with possession of drug paraphernalia; an expired tag with a suspended driver’s license and no car insurance.
University police responded to the following incidents: a vehicle stop on Student Union Drive, two traffic details at Oxford-University Stadium, a vehicle stop on Rebel Drive, a car accident on Rebel Drive, a car accident at Ford Center, and a grand larceny with more than $1,000 value stolen from Faser Hall.
Oxford Fire Department received no emergency calls yesterday.
