Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, February 19
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four welfare concerns, three disturbances, three petit larcenies, three alarms, two noise complaints, two motorist assists, two suspicious activities, malicious mischief, a 911 hang up call, an improper parking and a shoplifting.
Oxford police investigated six wrecks, issued 37 traffic citations and made eight arrests on the following charges: (3) possession of drug paraphernalia, (2) careless driving with DUI; leaving the scene of an accident with DUI; a warrant served; and a shoplifting.
University police responded to the following incidents: a service call for an ambulance at Campus Walk; a hit and run at the South parking lot; a motor vehicle accident with damage to the vehicle at the former Athletic building; and a traffic detail on Chucky Mullins Drive.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a sprinkler system set off by the sprinkler company testing it at the Kappa Sigma house.
