Wine Bar Prepares for a Romantic Valentine’s Day
Oxonians and all in search of the quintessential romantic evening can attempt to reserve a spot for a candlelit dinner for two at the Wine Bar this weekend.
The Wine Bar has been open for less than a year but it as quickly became popular in town. Erika Lipe, the general manager at the Wine Bar, thinks the dining room is “perfect” for a romantic evening. Oxford agrees since the reservations available there are dwindling by hour.
Lipe said, “The response from Oxford to participate in this event is overwhelming. We have very select seating left, so call us as soon as possible to reserve a spot!”
The restaurant will have its full menu featuring favorite staples such as chicken and waffles. Along with the menu the bar will have a dinner for two special.
The dinner will open with a spring green salad with sun-dried tomato dressing. Then there will be fried oysters and artichokes with saffron aioli as well as smoked filets with Parmesan mashed potatoes and crawfish sauce with broccolini. There will be a special dessert, a surprise.
The dinner is $100 with champagne and $135 with paired wines. Call the restaurant at 662-238-3500 to save yourself a spot!
If you’re out of luck the Wine Bar will be doing its weekly Gastropub night tonight. There will be a new chef-inspired hand-ground burger with two draft beers for $15. And tomorrow night at 9 p.m. the Wine Bar will have Adrian Dickey playing!
