Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, February 10
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: five suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, three noise violations, three alarms, three civil matters, two disturbances, two animal complaints, a malicious mischief, a grand larceny, a 911 hang up call, a shoplifting, a fraud and a fire department assist.
Oxford police investigated 10 wrecks, issued 25 traffic citations and made seven arrests on the following charges: a DUI; a minor in possession of alcohol; a careless driving with a DUI; a possession of drug paraphernalia; a shoplifting; a speeding with a suspended driver’s license and no car insurance; a leaving the scene of an accident with possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and also a minor in possession of alcohol.
University police responded to the following incidents: a suspicious vehicle at Oxford-University Stadium and a suspicious vehicle in the Fraternity Alley.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a smoke detector activated by steam cleaning the stairwell at 1400 Van Buren condos.
