Ole Miss’ Stefan Moody Named SEC Player of Week

Junior guard Stefan Moody has been named the SEC Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Moody, a Kissimmee, Florida native, averaged 17.0 points, 4.5 assists, two rebounds and two steals in leading the Rebels to wins against Texas A&M and at Auburn. He scored 19 points and dished out a career-high five assists in the Rebels’ win over the Aggies, as Ole Miss snapped A&M’s six-game winning streak.

He scored 15 points, including 12 in the second half, as Ole Miss posted a come-from-behind win on the road at Auburn. Moody added 4 assists and a pair of steals in the win over the Tigers.

Ole Miss rides its five-game winning streak in Gainesville Thursday to face the Florida Gators at 6 p.m. on ESPN. The Rebels return home Saturday to host the No. 23-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks.
