Vasasllo: Kennedy Krusin’ For Another Big Year!

Ole Miss v Aggies bball

While watching the Auburn game Saturday evening, I continue to be amazed at what an outstanding coach Andy Kennedy is especially in the closing minutes.

Andy may be the most under appreciated coach on the Ole Miss campus and all he does is win! I was so disappointed to see all the empty seats in the Tad Pad this past Wednesday night.

Our students and local residents need to start turning out and supporting this excellent program. Auburn packed their gym Saturday evening supporting a .500 team in the process.

Forecasting ahead to the SEC tournament, the 4 seeds as of right now appear to be Kentucky followed by Ole Miss, Arkansas and Texas A&M. Georgia and LSU have the most difficult track from this point forward. Should this be the case or even close, the Rebs will be headed to another NCAA tournament as well.

One of the primary reasons for this year’s success (in addition to the excellent coaching by AK and staff) is the depth of the team. When you can rotate 9-10 players with little fall off, the chances of winning close games increases dramatically.

Also, our free throw shooting this year is off the charts, unlike some previous Reb squads. This team also has heart. They are physical and don’t like losing to anyone. They are also extremely efficient on the road.

In wrapping up, all the credit goes to AK. He recruited this team; has developed it; and is now in the midst of coaching these guys up to yet another great year. When you see him around town, I hope we all congratulate him on his success. He definitely deserves it!
