The Ole Miss Rebels (16-7, 6-3) have now won five-straight games after a 86-79 win at Auburn.
Coach Andy Kennedy’s squad went into a hostile environment and took care of business on the Plains as Auburn hung in the game all the way. They rode a big 55-point second half after trailing the Tigers 32-31 at the half. As both teams came out of the locker room at intermission, the Rebels went on 11-point run.
Junior Stefan Moody led the Rebels in scoring with 15 points while teammates Jarvis Summers and Sebastian Saiz added 13 and 11 points respectively. Despite leading the nation in free throw percentage, Ole Miss was outplayed at the line, a rarity this season. As a team, Ole Miss shot 74 percent from the charity stripe while the Tigers hit 88 percent from the free-throw line.
Up next for the Rebels is a trip to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators on Thursday night.
