Oxford Crime Report for Wednesday, February 4
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three alarms, two suspicious activities, two disturbances, an animal complaint, a simple assault, a fraud, a fire department assist, a motorist assist, and a lost property.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 65 traffic citations, and made nine arrests on the following charges: (2) shoplifting; (2) possession of drug paraphernalia; a public intoxication; a malicious mischief; a careless driving with a suspended driver’s license and a DUI; a speeding with no driver’s license and a warrant served; and a speeding with no driver’s license and a DUI.
University police responded to the following incident: a vandalism at the Tad Smith Coliseum.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a smoke alarm activated by a smoldering chair with an ash tray sitting on it at Lafayette Place Apt. 5201 A.
