The Lady Rebels return home Thursday evening when they host No. 15 Mississippi State inside Tad Smith Coliseum. The in-state rivalry will tip off at 8 p.m. on the SEC Network.

Ole Miss has started conference play with a 4-2 mark and find themselves at 14-5 overall. On Sunday, Ole Miss dropped a hard fought 59-48 game on the road at No. 11/12 Texas A&M. Senior Tia Faleru continued her dominance with her eighth double-double which leads the SEC.

Against the Aggies, the Rebels had three players score in double-figures, led by the 15 points from Erika Sisk along with 11 by Faleru, and Shequila Joseph added 10 points and six boards.

Mississippi State comes into Oxford with a 19-2 overall record and a 4-2 mark in the SEC. Last time out on the court, the Bulldogs defeated Alabama 66-50 inside the Hump.  That win over the Crimson Tide snapped a two-game losing streak for Mississippi State.

Freshman Victoria Vivians is the only player for MSU in double-figures scoring, averaging 14.2 points per game. Her teammate Morgan Williams is right behind her with 9.9 points a game.

The Bulldogs averaged 78.9 points per game before starting league play and they are now averaging 64.3 points per outing.

Thursday’s game will be the first of two televised meetings this season between the rivals. All-time, Ole Miss and Mississippi State have met on the hardwood 87 times with the Rebels holding a 63-24 advantage in the series.
