Visit Mississippi Grabs Attention with Top Tourism Ad
The great attractions of Mississippi never get enough credit.
Popular travel site Skift ranked the best travel ads for the week, and Visit Mississippi’s new, 90-second spot placed in the top four, sandwiched between highly touted tourist destinations Portland and Hawaii.
Visit Mississippi, like Hawaii, wants visitors to put down their guide books and itineraries and let the destination happen to them. The clip shows the spectrum of the state’s culture integrating its past including blues and country friend chicken to its present arts and sports scenes while positioning its people and personality as the constant throughout.
Based out of Jackson, Visit Mississippi works to advertise the high points of every area of the state, from the Mississippi River Delta through the Pine Belt to the Gulf Coast, bringing tourists to areas like Biloxi, Clarksdale and Oxford who never knew the wonders Mississippi has to offer. The ad highlights Mississippi’s musical history, affinity for amazing food and the natural beauty of the state from top to bottom.
