Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, January 15
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three noise complaints, three disturbances, three alarms, three animal complaints, two suspicious activities, two frauds, two petit larcenies, a motorist assist, an 911 hang up call, a malicious mischief, and a welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated: six wrecks, issued 43 traffic citations, and made six arrests on the following charges: (2) shoplifting, a public intoxication with disorderly conduct, a careless driving with DUI, a careless driving with no car tag but with a DUI, and a speeding with no car insurance and a suspended driver’s license.
University police responded to the following incident: a traffic detail on Chucky Mullins Drive.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents: a smoke detector accidentally set off by construction workers at 1608 E. Jackson Avenue.
