Amber Redd – Embezzlement
On Tuesday, Jan. 6th, 2015, investigators from the Oxford police department arrested Amber Redd, 19 years old of Oxford. Redd was an employee of Wal-Mart where she embezzled cash from the store. She was arrested after charges were filed on her by the store. Redd was booked for Felony – Embezzlement 97-23-19 and her bond set at $1,000.00.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: five alarms, two animal complaints, two suspicious activities, two petit larcenies, two disturbances, two reported careless drivers, two motorist assists, a welfare concern, an ambulance assist, a code violation, a grand larceny, and an abusive use of 911.
Oxford police also investigated: four wrecks, issued 43 traffic citations and made six arrests on the following charges: a warrant served, a speeding with giving false information, a public intoxication and disorderly conduct, a driving with one headlight and no driver’s license, a driving with no headlights, a driving with no seatbelt, a suspended driver’s license and no car insurance, and an expired tag and no car insurance and with a suspended driver’s license and a DUI.
University police responded to the following incidents: a motor vehicle accident with property damage and a driver with a suspended driver’s license and no car insurance at Hill Drive, a traffic detail at Chucky Mullins Drive, and a traffic detail at Hathorn Road.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: an activated fire alarm at Sigma Alpha Epsilon house, and an activated fire alarm at Phi Kappa Tau house.
