Give Gift of Flavor from City Grocery Restaurant Group & Main Event
The Main Event is offering holiday gift boxes of all different sizes with popular items from each restaurant in the City Grocery Group. Boxes range in size from stocking stuffers to deluxe gift boxes.
Kat Crawford is an intern at The Main Event and said all the gift boxes are filled with some of the restaurant’s leading items.
“We have our Big Bad Breakfast coffee that comes in three different gift box sizes,” she said, “the deluxe, original and stocking stuffer. The whole bean BBB coffee comes in all three. Our stocking stuffer size is just perfect for friends or co-workers and comes with our whole bean coffee and a mug.”
Also from BBB is the deluxe box which includes a mug, whole bean coffee, jellies, grits, and Tabasco bacon, biscuit mix with a recipe, granola, and Tabasco salt and Andouille sausage.
“You can also add on items with any of the gift boxes,” Crawford said, “such as hats or T-shirts from any of the restaurants.”
From Boure’s is a delicious Chex Mix that comes in stocking stuffer or original size.
“The Chex Mix has a tasty spiced seasoning on it and is really awesome,” Crawford said. “From the Snackbar, we also have our “Meat Bomb” gift option that includes a mix of charcuterie, Tabasco bacon and Andouille sausage. Also, City Grocery’s Creole Spiced Pecans, which are amazing, and can be purchased in an original or deluxe box. The Snackbar’s Bloody Mary Mix, also in original or deluxe, and The Main Event’s macarons, in the holiday deluxe Main Event box and it also comes with peppermint bark, pralines, hot cocoa, ginger snap cookies and rosemary pecans. And from Lamar Lounge, we have our Koozies, which are very popular and ideal for stocking stuffers.”
Crawford said along with phone orders and the online system, there is also a downloadable PDF that people can fill out and send in.
Elizabeth Tettleton is special events and office manager for City Grocery Restaurant Group/The Main Event. Tettleton said there is definitely still plenty of time to order your gift boxes.
“The last day that we’re letting people pick up orders is December 23rd,” Tettleton said, so there is still time to place orders. We prefer a two-day leeway, so if people could let us know by the 21st, everything will be available for pick-up by the deadline. And that’s for online orders as well. But if someone calls us over the phone, we’ll definitely work with them as best we can.”
Tettleton said the variety of gift boxes start as low as $16. To place an order, call The Main Event at 662-234-9300 or use the new online order form.
