Oxford Daily Crime Report: Tuesday, Dec. 2
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four alarms, four welfare concerns, three noise complaints, two suspicious activities, a disturbance, an improper parking, a motorist assist, a forgery, a simple assault, a lost property, an identity theft, a malicious mischief, a code violation, a fire dept. assistance, and a petit larceny.
Oxford police investigated a wreck, issued nine traffic citations and made eight arrests on the following charges: (5) minors in possession of alcohol, a possession of drug paraphernalia, a shoplifting, and a running a stop sign with no drivers’ license.
University police responded to the following incidents: a possession of alcohol within Stewart Hall, a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Lamar Hall, a larceny per breaking into a coin machine at Kincannon Hall, and a service call for an ambulance at Kincannon Hall.
Oxford Fire dept. responded to the following calls: a spilled gas at the pumps at Kangaroo Highway 6 West, a reported smell of gas and discovery of ball valve leaking at Center Point Energy sub station at South 6th Street, a prank pull of a fire alarm at Kappa Sigma house, and a prank pull of the second floor fire alarm at Campus Walk Building 1.
