Freeze Staying with Rebels
The rumors aren’t true, ladies and gentlemen — the Rebels are keeping Hugh.
According to athletics director Ross Bjork via Twitter, coach Hugh Freeze has agreed to stay with Ole Miss.
Freeze also had a happy message for Rebel nation this morning.
ESPN reports that the extension will raise Freeze’s salary to more than $4 million per season over the next four seasons and includes raises for his assistants. Freeze had been making $3 million per season.
This post will be updated with details of the agreement as more information becomes available.

I was a freshman when Johnny Vaught came to O.M. as ass’t coach. Next year he became head coach and the “golden years” at Ole Miss commenced. For the 1st time since, I feel that the “Vaught-success” has returned to the Rebels, and it took an alumnus to do it. Happy days!

The team showed a change their first game under Coach Freeze. They were more fun to watch because they played like they enjoyed it and really wanted to win. I knew that had to be due to the new coach. Hotty Toddy!
