The Ole Miss Rebel volleyball team closes out the regular season at home with there last two matches as they host Georgia and Texas A&M at the Gillom Center.
Coach Steve McRoberts and his team (21-9,7-9 SEC) start the matches this evening with the Georgia Bulldogs at 6 p.m., the Rebels are coming into this week after splitting last weeks matches against No. 6 Florida and Alabama.
“We have still a lot to play for.  We have a chance to move up to sixth in the SEC. You never know if we win out and get a little bit of help and the RPI plays in our favor, we could get an NCAA at-large bid.  We want to invite everyone in town for Thanksgiving and the Egg Bowl to come out and help give us that home court advantage both Wednesday and Friday.”
Ole Miss swept the Crimson Tide this season.
The Rebels had two players set records over the weekend in Nakayeta Clair and Melanie Crow. Clair set the single season record for kills (337) with nine on Friday night. As Crow set the single season service aces record (35) with a career-hive against Alabama Sunday.
Georgia is coming into town with a 5-12 mark in the SEC and 13-16 over all record. The Bulldogs split against Mississippi State and South Carolina over the weekend. Georgia is led by outside hitter Tirah Le’au, who became the 17th Bulldog to notch 1,000 kills for her career and has 300 this season for an average of 2.70.
Then on Friday, Ole Miss welcomes in Texas A&M to finish the season and try to split the series with the Aggies.
