Love Downton Abbey and can’t wait until January? Need a break from finals week with tons of dry British humor and tutting?
The MPB Foundation and Mississippi Public Broadcasting are hosting Downton Abbey On The Square in Oxford on Tuesday, Dec. 9. The evening starts at 5 p.m. with a fun cocktail party at Southside Gallery followed by a gourmet dinner at City Grocery — all inspired by a Downton evening. The evening concludes with a 60-minute preview of the new season’s first episode.
Downton Abbey On The Square tickets are $125 a person and include the cocktail party, gourmet dinner and a screening of Downton’s new season. During the screening, enjoy VIP seats — the best in the house. Make it a night to remember with a ticket to the photo booth and a Downton Abbey keepsake, all provided as part of your ticket.
The doors of The Lyric Oxford open at 7 p.m. for a free 60-minute preview of Downton Abbey Season 5, set to start at 8 p.m. The screening is free but limited to two tickets per person. Seating is very limited so register for the screening here. Enjoy a cash bar during the event.
Dress to impress for the Downton Abbey costume contest, and make a lasting memory at the Downton photo booth. Photos are $5 per printed photo; you can pre-purchase tickets online when you register or buy them at the screening event.
