LandShark Tank Business Pitch Contest Set for Tuesday
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is hosting the second Land Shark Tank Elevator Pitch competition of the year Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m. in Conner 120.
The pitch night is an opportunity for you to present your best business idea. You have two minutes to give your best elevator pitch. The audience will vote for the winner after all the pitches have been concluded either through applause (measured electronically) or by text message. No PowerPoint or videos but props/prototypes are acceptable. If there is overflow, pitches will be split between two rooms and a final four round will be held.
Winners will receive $300 into the bursar account. Second and third places finishes are $150 and $50 respectively. You do not need to pitch to attend, any Ole Miss student is welcome to participate.
There will be faculty and local entrepreneurs in attendance to provide feedback on your technique. We plan to video the pitches and provide those to students who are interested in watching them to improve.
Check out some resources on how to pitch and then give it a shot — it’s free to compete!
