Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four disturbances, four alarms, three petit larcenies, two suspicious activities, harassing phone calls, a careless driver, a noise complaint, a grand larceny, a lost property, a recovered property, an animal assist, and a house burglary at Lafayette Place.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 35 traffic citations, and made nine arrests on the following charges: (2) public intoxications, a warrant served, a possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding with a suspended driver’s license and without car insurance, and driving without a seat belt, driver’s license and car insurance.
Oxford police discovered no code enforcement violations.
University police records are inaccessible today.
Oxford Fire Dept. responded to the following calls: a fire alarm malfunction at George Hall, a smoke detector activated by burned food at The Village Building 108 Apt. 5, smoke detector activated by shower steam at Northgate B206, and a smoke detector activated by burned popcorn at Sigma Pi house.
