James Woodson — Rape
On Monday, Oct. 27, investigators of the Oxford police department arrested James Randall Woodson, 41 of Ridgeland, for rape. James Randall Woodson was charged with rape and his bond was set at $20,000.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three alarms, two petit larcenies, two careless drivers, two malicious mischief, two improper parkings, a noise complaint, a suspicious activity, an animal assist, a 911 hang-up call, and a welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated 10 wrecks, issued 38 traffic citations, and made six arrests on the following charges: (2) public intoxications, (2) shopliftings, a speeding with suspended drivers license and possession of drug paraphernalia, and a speeding with suspended drivers license and no car insurance.
Oxford police discovered no code enforcement violations.

Oxford Fire Dept. responded to the following calls: an unfounded carbon monoxide call due to lack of gas appliances in the apt. at Fleur de Lis 203, a general fire alarm activation without a discovered cause at Jackson Ave. Center, a smoke detector activation due to water leaking on it at The Noodle Bowl, and a general fire alarm activation due to a possible limb falling on a power line at University Trails Building 6 and 14.
