Oxford police would also like to say that the department is hosting a haunted house here at the police department tonight and tomorrow night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It is $1 admission with proceeds going to the Oxford Peace Officers Association.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six suspicious activities, two disturbances, two welfare concerns, two lost properties, a noise violation, a 911 hang up call, a malicious mischief and a reported careless driver.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 29 traffic citations, and made eight arrests on the following charges: a disorderly conduct, a shoplifting, a simple assault, no drivers’ license, a speeding with DUI, a failure to yield with DUI, no drivers’ license and no car insurance, and no drivers license with an expired tag.
Oxford police discovered no code enforcement violations.
University police responded to the following incidents: an intoxicated person at Crosby Hall, an intoxicated person at Rebel Drive, a service call for an ambulance at the Union, a petit larceny at Stockard Hall, and an auto-burglary involving auto parts and accessories at Northgate Drive.
Oxford Fire Dept. responded to the following calls: an office water flow alarm malfunction at The Hub, and hot coals burning on a table (immediately extinguished by firemen) at 711 Martin Luther King.
