Oxford officials began tearing down the National Guard Armory at University Avenue and Bramlett Boulevard this week but are unsure what will replace it.
Though there are many rumors circulating as to what will replace the armory, Oxford city clerk Lisa Chandler said the city has not voted on what to put on the lot and said they are weighing several options, including expanding the community garden or skate park.
In the past, the building has been used as an armory as well as a hosting site for pancake breakfasts, high school dances and so much more.
HottyToddy.com is investigating what is happening with the lot and will update our site with more information as it becomes available.
