Sometimes it’s interesting and informative to see what the opposition press is writing about the Rebels. This game story from the Houston Chronicle is sent to us by our Ole Miss outpost in Houston manned by Blake Tartt III.
Read here what this very reputable sports writer Brent Zwerneman had to say. Here is a bit of the story:
“The on-field Aggies were late arrivals to the action, however, before a crowd of 110,633, most to see a football game of any kind in the state of Texas.
No. 3 Mississippi hammered No. 14 Texas A&M 35-20 in a game that didn’t seem nearly as close based on the Rebels’ dominance from start to finish of the home team.
“Right now is a time for you to look yourself in the mirror and be honest with deficiencies,” said A&M third-year coach Kevin Sumlin, adding that coaches and players need to fix or adjust those problems during the week.
But …
“There were a number of times that we just got whipped,” a somber Sumlin added. “That’s kind of hard to fix.”
