After leading Ole Miss to the program’s first ever win over the nation’s top-ranked team, senior quarterback Bo Wallace was named Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
The announcement was made live during the “SEC Now” show on the SEC Network.
Wallace tossed a pair of touchdowns in the final 5:29 to lead Ole Miss to a 23-17 victory, the Rebels’ first over Alabama since 2003.
The Pulaski, Tennessee, native completed each of his final three passes for 57 yards and two scores. He finished 18 of 31 for 251 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions, and he was second on the team in rushing with 32 yards on 11 attempts.
He now ranks second in the SEC in passing average (304.4 ypg) and touchdown passes (14).
It’s the first career SEC weekly honor for Wallace, who has started all 31 games behind center since joining the Rebels in 2012.
