Pride of the South Brings Music, Joy to GameDay

Published

on

While the football team may be what drives the fans to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for fall weekends, it’s the Pride of the South marching band that keeps them energized throughout hours of boiling hot days and freezing cold nights in the stands.
The band has been performing at halftime and in the Grove for years, and the red-and-blue clad musicians marching down University Avenue to the Vaught is a universal sign that kickoff is only an hour away. The band brings a new dimension to gameday for Rebel faithfuls and foes alike.
